Corlia & Hein Walk Thru 14 September 2008

I first met Corlia in 2005. She and Brain Burke organized Mnr. & Mej. Skole for VHS. After that, she spent a bit of time with me learning photography. When I received the call earlier this year to say that she was getting married and that she wanted Danieta and I to take her photos, my first words were "he must be one hell of a guy!" Well, he is and they are an amazing couple. Danieta and I warmed to them immediately and their walk thru photos show just how great they are together. We're really looking forward to the wedding on 13 December this year!

Lorraine and I have been working together since 2005. She own's Models 4 U modeling school in Three Rivers Vereeniging. In 2006 I had the privilege of capturing Lorraine and Jp's wedding. Danieta did Lorraine's pregnancy shoot in 2007 and we photographed little Morgan together when he was a few weeks old. Lorraine recently asked me to do and update for her. So without further ado, here are a couple of shots from the shoot....

Generally, I like to complete a "baby shoot" within 15 minutes. Much longer than that and the child normally becomes restless... Morgan kept us entertained for 30 minutes before deciding that he'd had enough!

Dane' & Jaco 13 Sep 2008

Wow! What a wedding season this is turning out to be! Dane' and Jaco were married this Saturday at Kleinbos in Potchefstroom, their own venue. Kleinbos is a relatively small venue situated just outside town and proved to be absolutely perfect for the photo session. Dane' looked incredible! We met Dane' and Jaco earlier this year in Parys and immediately "clicked." As with all of the couples that we choose to photograph, the dynamic between them was evident from that first meeting. Jaco still joked that the fact that we had a beer with them at our first interview clinched the deal for him. The wedding was all that we had hoped for and more. Danieta and I often say that the number of shots that we take at a wedding is a good indication of how much we enjoyed the day. We eventually left the wedding just before 12.... 2000 plus shots later....

We don't normally allow other photographers to join us on the private photo session but Eugene, Dane's brother-in-law, was at the wedding with his S3 Pro so I invited him to tag along and take some pics. Those that I saw were pretty awesome. Can't wait to see some more Eugene!

After we included some detail shots on Megon & Gary's blog, we were asked to include some more on future blog sites. So here they are...





And yes, that is Dane's pettycoat being unceremoniously flung at Jaco. Dane' was an amazing sport!

And those are cigars - not cigarettes! Dane' doesn't smoke!
